It also marks ten years of support by Carrefour for this great adventure. Carrefour is the main supplier and supplies some 35 tonnes of food per year from the Nivelles depot, as well as other merchandise (articles, crockery, decoration, accessories, bedding, health products, etc.), via its Evere offices. Products sold in the Capucines mini-market are priced 80% lower than the store's normal price.
This was Carrefour's first food bank aid experience. There will be more ! Indeed, excited by this initiative, from 2007 onwards, Carrefour also decided to offer the Capucines new textile articles of quality for all the family from samples or that had appeared in the folders.
This enabled the non-profit-making organisation to open a clothing store, operating on the same principle as the food mini-market.
